The four men heard in the investigation into the kidnapping of little Mia, including the three alleged kidnappers, should be presented to an examining magistrate in Nancy on Sunday, with a view to their indictment according to the prosecution.
The custody of suspects, apprehended Wednesday and Thursday, had been extended for the first time by 24 hours. These extensions were renewed at the request of the Nancy prosecutor, François Pérain.
The little girl and her mother still nowhere to be found
The Nancy public prosecutor’s office is now seized of this case, the qualification of kidnapping “in an organized gang” requiring a specific competence which is deprived of the court of Epinal, seized at first, explained François Pérain. Little Mia was kidnapped Tuesday by three men, by cunning and without violence, while she was staying with her maternal grandmother, designated since January “trusted third party” by justice, in the village of Poulières, a thirty kilometers from Épinal, in the Vosges department.
The alleged kidnappers claimed to have acted at the request of the mother of the child, Lola Montemaggi, 28, who wanted to recover her daughter, of whom she no longer had custody.
