Hello and welcome to the live blog for Saturday’s FA Cup semi final meeting between Manchester City and Chelsea which kicks off at 18:30 CET.
We will be covering the most important pre-match information as well as updates throughout the encounter, as the two Premier League giants go head to head for a place in the 140th final.
All the live updates will come below, with the most recent entry towards the top.
Chelsea vs Manchester City – FA Cup Live Score: 0-0
Minute 63 – Gundogan on
In-form Ilkay Gundogan is Guardiola’s second change of the day. He replaces Ferran Torres who was unable to have an impact while he was on the field. A disappointing evening for the former Valencia star.
Minute 59- Ziyech close to a second!
The former Ajax man is played through on goal but Steffen is equal to his tame effort. Ziyech really should score there and it could prove costly.
Minute 51- Ziyech puts Chelsea ahead!
Ziyech was denied at the start of the first half due to offside, but this time the former Ajax man’s strike counts and Chelsea are 1-0 up against City!
Minute 48 – De Bruyne forced off with injury
It’s a sight that no City fan will want to see, as Kevin de Bruyne is forced off with what looks like an ankle injury. The Belgian beat N’Golo Kante to the ball and there was no challenge from the Frenchman, but De Bruyne immediate felt something.
Phil Foden is his replacement.
Minute 46 – No subs at the break
The second half is back underway. No changes from either coach at the break, but neither are short of options.
Half time: Dominant Chelsea can’t break City down
It’s not been a classic at Wembley, to say the least, but it’s Chelsea who have been the dominant side. City started to look more threatening towards the half time break although the Blues have enjoyed more of the ball and even had a goal disallowed early on. Guardiola may turn to his star-studded bench if things carry on the way they are, while Tuchel will have an easier team talk.
Minute 36 – James fires wide
It was left back Chilwell who recently had a decent effort from range, and now it’s the right back Reece James who tries his luck from range. However, it goes wide of the post.
Minute 30 – Not much action
After half an hour, there’s been just one shot on target, which came from City.
And perhaps the biggest surprise is that Pep’s pass masters are being outpossessed. Chelsea have had 65 percent of the ball while the Sky Blues just 35 percent.
Minute 18 – Chilwell goes close!
Ben Chilwell has a go from range and it goes just wide of Steffen’s far post.
Minute 15 – City regain control
Chelsea enjoyed a bright start, but since then it’s been all City as Pep’s side pass the ball from side to side looking for an opener.
Minute 5 – Chelsea have goal disallowed
Hakim Ziyech tucks the ball home but it is ruled out for offside. A confident start, however, from the Blues.
Minute 1 – We’re underway
We’re underway at Wembley as Thomas Tuchel and Pep Guardiola battle it out for a place in the FA Cup final.
18.25 CET: Minute’s silence for Prince Phillip
Both side’s observed a minute’s silence ahead of the semi final for the late Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh.
18.00 CET: City’s XI
Guardiola has named his side, with Zac Steffen getting the nod in goal, and Aymeric Laporte preferred to John Stones in central defence. The likes of Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan are also on the bench, although it’s likely they will be called upon in the second half.
18.00 CET: Chelsea’s XI
Thomas Tuchel has named his starting eleven and there are a couple of surprises from the German, as Kai Havertz starts on the bench, while Ben Chilwell gets the nod ahead of Marcos Alonso who seems to be the full-back of choice in the Premier League of late.
