West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil’s wife, Atalia Praratya was confirmed positive for COVID-19. Atalia is known to have received two vaccinations.
Atalia’s moment of being injected with the vaccine was first uploaded via her Instagram account on March 5, 2021. Atalia uploaded a video about her vaccination process.
In his statement, he also mentioned getting the vaccine as his capacity in the West Java COVID-19 Task Force.
“Alhamdulillah, finally got a call to be vaccinated in the capacity as West Java covid-19 task force. God willing, all will get,” wrote Atalia as seen by detik.com on Saturday (17/4/2021) at 19.04 WIB.
After the vaccination moment, Atalia did several activities. All of his activities are also uploaded through his social media. It is known that Atalia also received the second vaccine about two weeks later. According to information from the West Java Provincial Government Public Relations team, the first vaccinations are on March 4 and the second is March 18.
Today, Saturday (17/4/2021), through his Instagram account Atalia uploaded a video that reported that he was positive.
“The first day was still shocked, just informed, confused about where to catch. Indeed I met a lot of people and the community. But hopefully I hope that my friends and also people close to me are not infected,” he said. Atalia in the video.
Atalia admits that she is one of the people who is active in implementing health protocols. Even so, he asked for prayers for his recovery.
“Actually I feel that people who are very active use masks, wash their hands and are always reminded to use a hand sanitizer. But Allahualam, Allah’s will is like that. Yes, I am still surprised today, please pray from everyone,” he said.

Even though he was positive for COVID-19, his husband, Ridwan Kamil, was tested negative. Kang Emil, his nickname, also via Instagram, announced that he was negative after the PCR test.
“I personally took the PCR test and the results were negative, also our children were negative for Covid,” said Kang Emil.
At present Atalia is doing independent isolation in the Pakuan Building, the governor’s official residence.
