Paris: a woman pushed down the stairs of the metro after an altercation at Porte de la Chapelle

A woman violently pushed down the stairs of the metro, Porte de la Chapelle in Paris (18th century), who tumbles down while managing to hang on to the ramp. The video, posted on Twitter, caused a lot of reaction. Until Marlène Schiappa, who denounced this Saturday morning “inadmissible facts”, denouncing “street harassment” and a “revolting physical assault”. The Minister for Citizenship also indicates that she reported these facts to the Paris police headquarters, giving “all her support to the victim”.

Another version of the video, longer, was also published in the wake. Difficult to understand the context, but still it is that an obviously angry woman addresses a man who is on the phone. She herself handles a phone, which she ends up throwing away, and comes back to her interlocutor, whom she taps on the arm. The latter then turns to her and, with one hand behind his back, throws her violently towards the stairs of the metro.

The victim, who managed to hold onto the handrail to stay upright in his fall, does not appear to have been injured. And his attacker quickly left the scene, under the cries of passers-by.
