Jason Tjakrawinata alias JT (38) admitted to persecuting him nurse at Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital, Palembang, Christina Ramauli Simatupang (28), emotional because she saw her child’s hand was injured after the IV was removed. Sriwijaya Hospital emphasized that Christina had carried out her duties accordingly standard operating procedure (SOP).
“That’s not true,” said Dr Bona Fernando, President Director of Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital when contacted detikcom, Saturday (17/4/2021). She responded to a narrative circulating on social media that said nurse Christina was pulling out the infusion not according to the procedure.
“The procedure for withdrawing the infusion has been carried out according to the applicable SOP,” he emphasized.
The Director of Nursing at Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital Palembang, Benedikta Beti Bawaningtyas, previously expressed a similar sentiment. He said the nurse had carried out the applicable procedures regarding the removal of the IV tube.
“Because the patient is a child of the perpetrator and is still 2 years old, he is actively working, we are careful to remove the IV line,” said the figure who is familiarly called Tata when asked for confirmation from reporters, Friday (16/4).
However, he continued, unwanted things happened. At that time, the patient’s mother carried the patient until the patient’s hand was bleeding. The nurse then immediately changed the plaster while stopping the patient’s bleeding.
But unexpectedly, the suspect, Jason Tjakrawinata, came and assaulted the nurse. The victim had bruises on her left eye, swelling on her lips, and pain in her stomach.
“When we met the perpetrator, the three of us came. Indeed, he ordered those who were not concerned to be sent out, but we refused because we were the ones responsible, both for the patient and the nurse. The perpetrator asked a question, he had not yet been answered. He immediately slapped our nurse in the face,” said Tata .
Furthermore, Jason Tjakrawinata also forced the victim to bow to apologize. At the same time, he also kicked the victim in the stomach.
“The perpetrator also forced our nurse to bow to apologize. At that time, he kicked our nurse in the stomach. Seeing this incident, we had time to block and intervene. But the perpetrator pulled the victim’s hair. Until hospital security officers came and secured the victim because she was injured and bruises, “said Tata.
The Siloam Sriwijaya Hospital together with Christina then decided to report the persecution to the Palembang Police. Not long ago the perpetrator was arrested by the authorities at his residence.
