NASA Selects SpaceX to Send Astronauts to Footsteps on the Moon

ALABAMA – NASA finally chose Elon Musk’s space transportation company as the operator of sending astronauts to the Moon. The choice of SpaceX is a further step for Artemis’s mission where astronauts will further explore the planet Earth’s satellite.

Later SpaceX will be required to send two astronauts to the Moon. At least this mission will be very historic considering that one in two astronauts sent to the Moon are women.

It is known that one of the Artemis programs implemented by NASA is not just sending astronauts for a walk on the Moon. They also want to bring a new breakthrough for the history of world space. In the future, after bringing in female astronauts, the Artemis program wants to send astronauts with colored skin.

Meanwhile, the appointment of SpaceX made NASA have to spend some money for the implementation of the mission. According to the Nasa website, the money received by SpaceX reached USD 2.89 billion, equivalent to IDR 41.4 trillion.

“With this appointment Nasa and its selected partners will complete the first mission of sending astronauts to the Moon in the 21st century. We are also moving forward in women’s equality and long-term exploration of space,” said Kathy Lueder, Associate Administrator for Human Expolrations and Operation Mission Directorate NASA .

Meanwhile SpaceX was quoted as saying by NASA’s official website as having worked with experts at NASA. They are also required to submit the design of their spacecraft to be landed on the Moon. The SpaceX-made spacecraft is required to meet standards set by NASA such as safety, medical technical, mechanical, and technical health areas.

“These are proud times for NASA, especially the Artemis team. During the Apollo program, we managed to prove the impossible was possible.
