An earthquake with a magnitude (M) of 5.5 rocked Jantho, Aceh Besar. Earthquake no potential for a tsunami.
“39 Km southwest of Jantho-Aceh Besar,” wrote BMKG on its official Twitter account @infobmkg, Saturday (17/4/2021).
The earthquake, which was at a depth of 93 km, occurred at 08.04 WIB. The location of the earthquake coordinates is at 5.05 north latitude and 95.31 east longitude.
“There is no potential for a tsunami,” wrote BMKG.
It is not yet known whether there is any damage to facilities and casualties from this earthquake.
