Unlike in the youth sector, there is no start of the cancellation period for men. “If a player no longer wants to play for his old club, the change can be requested now,” says HFV passport manager Heck.
The de-registration of a player from the old club must take place before the actual changeover period I (July 1st to August 31st) by June 30th. June 30th is therefore commonly referred to as the end of the transfer phase. Change period is the period in which competitive game rights can be granted after a club change.
The application for permission to play, as well as any subsequent approval, must be received by the HFV by August 31st. cpa

Internal irritation
At FSG Riedrode there were internal irritations – albeit for good reasons. “Normally we hold the talks in the dressing room,” emphasizes game committee chief Thorsten Göck. Fabian Kreiling, who looks after Riedrode’s B-League team as a game committee member, asked in advance in WhatsApp chat for feedback for the new round. Because some players didn’t react, he had to follow up. “It was so clear to them that they would stay. You didn’t feel addressed at all, ”reports Göck. Patrick Andres does not want to rely on such scenarios. “We held the one-on-one meetings from mid-November to mid-January,” says the sports committee head of SG Olympia / VfB Lampertheim: “You have to look yourself in the eye.”
Even with the B division, there were players who, despite their acceptance, still asked for clearance. “It depends on the guy: What are the reasons? How does he communicate that? The players should at least be honest, ”says Andres. Andres knows that because the previous lap had barely started, many see no reason to change. “But the players are being dredged – and now that the HFV’s decision has been made, the interchangeable carousel really gets going”, the SG Sports Committee doesn’t fool itself: “What goes on in the professional field, the amateurs do on a small scale. We won’t know who will end up on the pitch until July 1st. These WhatsApp games around the back are not isolated cases, it’s everyday life. “Andres blames the clubs:” They lull the players. “

Change in the game rules
Whether the cancellation of the season will result in more changes cannot be reliably assessed. “At the moment, of course, it should be noted that players cannot offer themselves through trial training or games,” says Stefan Heck (small picture), the head of the passport office of the Hessian Football Association (HFV), to this editorial team. Regarding the switching activities since the beginning of the pandemic, Heck states: “A significant decrease in summer 2020 was followed by an even more pronounced decrease in winter 2020/21.” At the HFV headquarters in Frankfurt, things are currently quiet. “Of course, it has never been the case that changes could be requested so early,” explains the passport office boss: “But everything is still normal. Some clubs have already set everything in motion, others are waiting or contacting us. ”There is a change in the HFV game rules that the regional association made last year in response to the pandemic. “Periods in which, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, no games were or will be carried out in the area of responsibility of the HFV are not to be taken into account when calculating the six-month period according to No. 2 f) of this provision,” it says in a supplement to Paragraph 121, Paragraph 2f.
This means, for example: players who played their last competitive game for the old club shortly before the season break at the end of October cannot benefit from the six-month waiting period at the end of April. If you want to change, your consent can be refused by the releasing club and compensation will be due. (Image: HFV)
