He wanted to live with his affair: The district court in Frankfurt am Main has sentenced a 38-year-old to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife.
The chamber saw it as proven that the man killed the 43-year-old out of greed in October 2019 – and then disposed of the woman’s body in a dumpster. Only bones of her corpse were later found in a landfill.

DNA test confirms the identity of the dead
Shortly after the fact, the man was suspected of having killed his wife. At the end of October, according to investigations, he personally arranged for a dumpster to be emptied at his place of work.
In January 2020, investigators searched a landfill in Flörsheim near Frankfurt. More than 22,000 tons of slag were sifted through and finally three pieces of bone with DNA traces of the wanted people were found. The investigators assume that the woman got to the landfill via the waste cycle. A DNA test confirmed that the finds were the bones of the missing persons.

Only a few days later the court was convinced that his girlfriend moved in with him. He gave her a gold chain with a heart pendant that belonged to his wife and that she had worn on the day of the tattoo.
With the verdict, the court followed the pleading of the public prosecutor’s office, which had demanded life imprisonment. The court’s decision is not yet final.
