The Grenoble police officers wanted to control a motorist who was driving a Volkswagen Golf registered in Germany, around 2:30 a.m. on the night of Tuesday April 13 to Wednesday April 14, rue Le Brix in Grenoble.

The driver stopped but could not show them any papers and remained very vague about his identity.
He was therefore searched by police officers who explained to him that they had to take him to the police station for checks. The man, in his forties, then got angry and violently pushed two police officers away before trying to escape. He was caught, arrested and taken into police custody.
