Dear Doctor. buses
My daughter (5 months old) has had bright red blood in her stool every now and then. The stool sample showed that the white blood cell count was increased. An anal fissure was also found. Are the white blood cell counts also increased with an anal fissure? Which diseases come into question with high white blood cell counts?
Thank you for your kind reply.

Blood in stool / white blood cells
Dear K.,
Unfortunately, I cannot evaluate such individual findings from a distance. Please speak to your pediatrician in confidence.
All the best!
