House elections: the winners are known

The Financial Security Chamber shared at Insurance portal the results of the elections to fill three director positions on its board of directors.

Two of its directors who were aiming for re-election were not re-elected, either Gino-Sébastien Savard and Charles Drolet.

Personal insurance

Mr. Savard was aiming to obtain a third term in the insurance of persons category. He was also the Chairman of the Board for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

It is rather Jean-Sébastien Jutras who will represent this discipline. Mr. Jutras obtained 552 votes against 499 votes for Mr. Savard, a difference of 53 votes.

Four other candidates were also in the ranks, namely Angelo Palmiotto (160 votes), Francois Faucher (144 votes), Dominik Mainville (144 votes) and Jaskaran Singh Ghotra (136 votes). The participation rate was 12%.

Collective savings

On the collective savings side, Charles Drolet will give way to Daniela Altgauzen. The latter collected 470 votes, against 369 votes for Mr. Drolet. That is a difference of 101 votes.

Jasmin labrie was also in the race. He got 329 votes. The participation rate was 5.4%.

Financial planning

For the position of financial planning representative, Jean-Philippe Vézina was re-elected. He got 158 ​​votes, 34 votes more than Jean Dupriez, which got 124 votes.

Were also in the race Patrick Charlebois (65 votes), Pascal Lariviere (62 votes) and Etienne Roy (47 votes). The participation rate was 9.9%.

Collective insurance

One administrator was elected by acclamation, the group insurance representative. It is Guy Barbeau.

Board composition

The other members of the council whose positions did not go up for election are Shirley Marquis (personal insurance), Sylvain de Champlain (collective savings), Sophie Vallee (scholarship plans). The other members are independent and appointed by the Ministère des Finances du Québec: Anne Cote, Georges E. Morin, François D. Ramsay, Stephane Rousseau and Paulette Legault. Alain C. Roy also sat on the council in 2020-2021 as elected by the general assembly of the Chamber.
