Covid-19: 297 deaths in hospital in 24 hours in France, first drop in intensive care admissions for 15 days

Hospital pressure continues to increase in France, but a slight decrease in people in intensive care is visible.

According to the latest data from Public Health France, dated April 14, 2,072 new patients have been admitted to hospital in the past 24 hours and 441 in intensive care, intensive care unit or continuous monitoring unit. Across the country, 43,505 new contaminations were recorded.

The number of patients in the hospital fell slightly on Wednesday to 30,868 patients, against 31,226 on Tuesday. The number of people treated in critical care services is also down slightly to 5,902 (-50 against the previous day).

In addition, 297 people have died from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours

Since the start of the vaccination campaign in France, 11,631,742 people have received at least one injection (i.e. 17.4% of the total population and 22.1% of the adult population) and 4,117,558 people have received two injections (i.e. 6.1% of the total population and 7.8% of the adult population).
