In the last year, the categories of home and garden products have registered among the largest increases in online commerce and the trend will continue, as a growing minority takes the step towards life in the yard or in larger living spaces.
The COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed the way we perceive life in the city, according to an analysis by evoMAG. Romanians are rethinking their living options, due to restrictions and reevaluating the importance of courtyard houses, with green spaces, but also with dedicated office areas for remote work and online school.
In the last year, the categories of home and garden products have registered among the biggest increases in online commerce and the trend will be maintained, because those who make the step to life in the yard or in larger living spaces are more and more.
According to the cited analysis, compared to 2020, at present, the House, Decorations and DIY category has registered an increase of up to 100%.
“The most purchased products were garden grills, the top being completed, in order, by gardening tools, compressors and pumps, terrace heating systems, general tools and implements and professional welding machines and inverters”, according to evoMAG.
With the warming of the weather, the customers’ interest will be directed towards products that will offer them comfort and beautify the green spaces arranged in the yard or on the terraces of the blocks of flats. Thus, following the customers’ searches, evoMAG expects that the best-selling products in the coming months will be chairs (outdoor, but also office), sunbeds, sofas and garden chairs, umbrellas, pavilions, swings and hammocks, picnic baskets, etc. .
