Jakarta – Habib Rizieq angry with Bogor Mayor Bima Arya in the trial case swab Ummi Hospital. Habib Rizieq even had an argument with the public prosecutor.
Habib Rizieq’s anger began when he questioned Bima Arya regarding his investigation report (BAP) which stated that the former FPI leader was lying. Habib Rizieq then accused Bima Arya of giving false testimony.
“I ask to note that the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya, as well as the Head of the COVID-19 Task Force in this noble court, has lied over lies. Thank you,” he said. Habib Rizieq with a high note at the East Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (14/4/2021).
The public prosecutor then interrupted Habib Rizieq’s statement. Habib Rizieq was even more angry.
“Enough, the public prosecutor. This is my right to speak. Enough,” shouted Habib Rizieq while pointing at the prosecutor.
Bima Arya, who sat as a witness, seemed to raise his hand. Meanwhile, Habib Rizieq continued to speak in a high tone.
“You are criminalizing. The patient is being convicted. You are criminalizing the patient, criminalizing the hospital. You are the criminal. So I have the right to defend myself because I am the one who will be imprisoned, not you,” said Habib Rizieq again in a high tone.
The jury then tried to calm down.
“The defendant is patient. The witness is patient, the public prosecutor is patient,” said the judge.
However, Habib Rizieq was still angry and called Bima Arya a lie.
“He has been sworn not to lie. Now I prove he lied. That is my right as a public student,” said Habib Rizieq.
The judge then asked Habib Rizieq end his anger again. Habib Rizieq then complied.
“Be patient,” the judge said.
“Yes, fine, the panel of judges. I’ll just have to get here,” said Habib Rizieq.
