Wuppertal. Works by the artists will be displayed in the windows of the lifting platform in Wuppertal from April 23rd to May 1st Samantha-Jo Mühlen and Ava Weis were exhibited. The theme: “Blood, Sweat and Tears”.

The exhibition is themed “Blood, Sweat and Tears”. The artists explain: “An average of four to six liters of blood flow through the human body, it produces around one liter of sweat and up to 500 ml of tear fluid per day. We can cry bloody tears, our blood can freeze in our veins or we work in the sweat of our brow. Blood, sweat and tears accompany us for a lifetime. And yet these liquids are either only desired in certain contexts or taboo. “

Samantha-Jo Mühlen and Ava Weis investigate how blood, sweat and tears are socially negotiated, why they are so difficult to deal with and how one can open up new perspectives to sensory habits.

To this end, the artists deal with the individual fluids photographically, filmically, poetically and in audio contributions, and also try out new forms of representation.
