However Hugo Pina, Ximena’s father, in an interview with EL UNIVERSAL, assured that he had not told them anything about his whereabouts and Ximena asked them to withdraw the complaint to return.

Authorities response

The Anti-kidnapping Prosecutor has followed up on the case because Ximena has not been physically seen by her parents.

“The Prosecutor’s Office told us that the investigation will continue because the messages from social networks do not count as evidence that she is not being held against her will,” said Hugo Pina.
