California is now the state hardest hit by the pandemic with 60,539 deaths, followed by New York (51,258), Texas (49,289), Florida (34,120), Pennsylvania (25,451), New Jersey ( 24,945) and Illinois (23,826).
Other states with a large number of deaths are Georgia (19,548), Ohio (18,917), Michigan (17,657), Massachusetts (17,413) or Arizona (17,105).
In terms of infections, California has 3,705,608, followed by Texas with 2,837,160, third is Florida with 2,134,914, New York is fourth with 1,967,248 and Illinois is fifth with 1,285,298.
