Situation report on coronavirus COVID-19 in Uruguay (04/13/2021)

Epidemiological report:

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 16,946 analyzes were carried out today and 2,287 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected. Of the 2,287 new cases, 958 are from Montevideo, 239 from Canelones, 133 from Maldonado, 117 from Río Negro, 109 from Rivera, 102 from Artigas, 90 from Soriano, 86 from San José, 65 from Cerro Largo, 64 from Tacuarembó, 59 from Colonia, 58 from Salto, 50 from Paysandú, 44 from Florida, 33 from Rocha, 27 from Lavalleja, 26 from Treinta y Tres, 15 from Durazno and 12 from Flores. In all cases, strict epidemiological monitoring is carried out.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 1,561,178 tests have been processed and 149,430 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total 116,533 have already been recovered.

Today, 63 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in our country (a detailed table is attached). So far there are 1,595 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 31,302 active cases, that is, people who are suffering from the disease, 486 of them are in intensive care.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 5,912 correspond to health personnel. 5,221 of them have already recovered, 683 are suffering from the disease and 8 have died.
As of today, the 19 departments have active cases.

CLARIFICATION:

The total of confirmed positive cases until yesterday was 147,173. Today 2,287 new cases and a total of 149,430 confirmed positive cases are reported. The difference is explained because, according to the MSP, 30 cases were eliminated.
