Monday night, the prominent lawyer Tor Kjærvik (70) was shot and killed on Røa in Oslo. A man in his 30s was quickly arrested and charged with murder. Police later confirmed that the deceased’s son has been arrested.
On Monday, Pål Erik-Eidsvig told Dagbladet that he and his wife heard several shots when they went for a walk in the area in question just before 9 pm. He also told that one of his sons called him and told him that he had seen the shooting episode.
– My son is a little upset. He thought it was very dramatic, and says he saw a person, Eidsvig told Dagbladet.
Observations
Now the son tells Dagbladet that he was questioned by the police on Tuesday night.
– I was playing video games when I suddenly heard plaffing sounds, which I instinctively assumed were shots. I looked in the direction where I heard the shots coming from, and saw a man in the doorway.
–
He says he followed the incident.
– At the time, I was unsure of what was going on, and chose to follow. I saw a lady running across the square, with the man walking slowly after her. The man turned and went back to the apartment. After this, it seemed as if the man was squatting down and washing a gun, he says and tells that the man was wearing a surgical face mask.
– I was shaken, he says about the incident he witnessed.
Neighbor Liv Thorvaldsen tells Dagbladet that she saw the murder victim come home around 20.15.
– I saw Tor Kjærvik come walking to his own home. I did not think anything more about it. He walked quietly to the entrance and locked himself in. Then he was gone, Thorvaldsen told Dagbladet.
Thorvaldsen says that later in the evening the daughter heard something that sounded like shots in the area.

Heard seven shots
Another neighbor informs Dagbladet that he heard seven shots in connection with the shooting episode on Monday night.
– We first heard four or five shots from inside the apartment and that a woman was crying and screaming more and more, the neighbor tells Dagbladet.
– Then it was a short time, maybe two minutes, then we heard two or three shots from a slightly different direction. I saw shortly afterwards that there were marks in the front door, says the shocked neighbor the next morning.
