“Although the suspect should be considered less accountable, he was smart and intelligent enough to know what he was doing,” said the Public Prosecution Service (OM). “For years he worked with young girls and he worked extremely calculating, planned and well thought out.”
The man found the victims of his so-called sexting through, among other things, a foundation for young people with a disability in his hometown of Venray. He worked there as a volunteer. “He has forced at least ten vulnerable, underage girls between 13 and 16 years to send nude images of himself,” said the OM.
The man has made a full confession. He says he acted after others pressured him online to provide footage of the victims. The OM finds this “an incredible scenario” and speaks of online assault.
The court in Roermond will rule in two weeks.
