After Amine Adli from Toulouse, OM would be eyeing Ismael Doucouré, a young 17-year-old defender playing for Valenciennes.
The next offseason for Olympique de Marseille promises to be very eventful. Between players at the end of their contract (Florian Thauvin, Jordan Amavi), those who could leave against good offers (Boubacar Kamara, Valentin Rongier) or even players only on loan whose future is not guaranteed (Pol Lirola , Olivier Ntcham, Leonardo Balerdi …), the Marseille workforce is about to be radically upset. In the oven and in the mill as regards the transfer window, the new president Pablo Longoria knows that he will have to do with limited means to offer a competitive team to Jorge Sampaoli.
It is with this in mind that OM hope to find inexpensive young players with great potential. The idea is to strengthen the team in the short term, but also to anticipate future capital gains through possible transfers. The OM leaders are therefore closely monitoring Ligue 2. Amine Adli, author of a very good season with Toulouse, is one of Pablo Longoria’s priorities. After having tried his luck for the first time last winter, the boss of OM will come back to the charge this summer. But Adli is not the only Ligue 2 talent that interests Marseille …
Doucouré also monitored
But the young Toulouse striker is not the only Ligue 2 nugget that Pablo Longoria is watching closely. Indeed,The voice of the North reveals that OM are keeping an eye on the progress of Ismael Doucouré. At just 17, the center-back is one of the revelations of the season. Now firmly established in the first team with eight starts over the last nine games, he has even been called up with the France U19 team. Linked with Valenciennes until 2023, its value is estimated at around six million euros. A sum not unaffordable for OM, especially since Doucouré’s profile would fit perfectly into the club’s new policy. There remains one last problem, like every young player with great potential, the competition will be tough, and OM would be well advised to finalize the file as quickly as possible under penalty of seeing the biggest European clubs come to derail their plans.
