Due to a drinking water cut expected soon in Langon, the management recalls some safety advice.
The control Municipal Water of the City of Langon (Gironde) informs the population that food potable water will be cut on Tuesday April 20 from 10 p.m. as part of the works renewal of lead connections, Papon Street.
The teams of the CISE TP company will be mobilized to carry out this work in the most
at short notice (overnight) in order to quickly regain normal distribution.
Recommendations, for your safety
As the time of return to service is approximate, the management recommends, for your safety, that you check that your water taps are closed.
When put back into service, disturbances may occur on the distribution network (water laden with impurities, presence of air, etc.).
It is therefore recommended:
- To turn off the taps and not to operate household appliances that use water
potable (during and immediately after the water cut-off)
- Then let the water run for a few moments before consuming it so that it
regains its clarity.
For information
The Water Authority has almost completed the replacement, for sanitary purposes, of lead connections by polyethylene connections for its 5,000 subscribers.
Less than 200 will still be completed after this section, rue Papon.
