Realme, one of the leading smartphone manufacturers in India, has announced its commitment to adopt 5G technology across its product portfolio. In an open letter, the CEO of the company, Sky Li, revealed that over the next two years, 70% of products offered by Realme will adopt 5G technology and Realme will also devote a significant amount of R&D (Research and Development) resources to help accelerate adoption.
With this commitment, Realme aims to become a “5G popularizer“, targeting its main markets in India, South-East Asia and Europe. The company will set up seven R&D teams dedicated to 5G around the world, and will devote 90% of its R&D resources to them. $ 300 million.
The company also revealed its intention to open more than 10 5G pop-up stores that will showcase the various benefits of 5G technology in the field of cloud gaming and ultra HD live broadcasts with AR (Augmented Reality).
