Hamburg (dpa / lno) – In a trial of attempted manslaughter and drug trafficking, the Hamburg district court wants to announce its verdict today. The public prosecutor has demanded a youth sentence of five years and nine months for the defendant. The prosecution believes it has been proven that the 20-year-old is guilty of attempted manslaughter, dangerous physical harm and drug trafficking. According to a court spokesman, the prosecution dropped the original allegation of attempted murder.
The defendant allegedly traded in marijuana and cocaine and was the victim of a robbery on April 19 last year. The prosecutor had declared at the start of the trial that the perpetrators had apparently offered him eight kilos of marijuana for 40,000 euros. At the agreed meeting point at the Nettelnburg S-Bahn station, they beat him down and stole his money. In order to take revenge, the defendant and two accomplices watched one of the robbers in Hamburg-Bergedorf on May 30th. When the 22-year-old ran away, the defendant is said to have shot the fugitive nine times, with three shots struck.
