Helicopter Mars Helicopter America is called creativity. Launched in July, as baggage in the cargo hold of Marskarretje Perseverance (Volharding). They landed together on Mars in mid-February. About a week ago, creativity came to the fore. It was about three feet tall and weighed about 2 pounds.

In preparation for the first flight, helicopter blades were turned on Friday. Something’s wrong with the code on the plane. The computer in flight control prowess warns that something is wrong. This is currently being investigated. The helicopter is safe and sound and has sent all of its data back to Earth, NASA said on Saturday.

The first flight is scheduled for Monday 4:54 NST. The goal is for creativity to reach a height of several meters in three seconds. It will remain there for 30 seconds, before landing on the same spot in a controlled manner. That first flight was a test. If successful, the helicopter can fly five times, each time a few hundred meters away. It will likely last about a month on Mars.

One of Ingenuity’s missions is to overcome the low air pressure on Mars. This can be compared to pressing 30 kilometers to the ground. Ground helicopters can’t fly that far. Charging the battery is also challenging, as Mars gets half of Earth’s solar energy during the day. At night, parts of the plane are exposed to temperatures of minus 90 degrees.

If the technology turns out to work on Mars, helicopters could help explore exotic destinations more quickly.
