Growth of online job postings in March – Economy – Bulgaria – NOVA News

The conclusion of the experts is that since the beginning of the pandemic, employers in our country have become more flexible and better read the trends of the unstable labor market. Thus, in March this year, the ads were 117% more than in 2020.

Labor is sought in all spheres of labor. The leading position in terms of the number of job vacancies is held by the Construction sector. Job offers in accounting, finance, administration and manufacturing also jumped by more than 15%. There is still a hunger for staff in the IT sphere.

More than half of the ads on the online platforms are from companies in Sofia. However, more and more new staff are also looking for companies from Burgas, Stara Zagora and Varna.

Job search and offer platforms are being emptied as new restrictions are imposed. In sectors such as restaurants, the number of ads has dropped dramatically – up to four times. After a short shock from closing, however, this curve quickly takes off in the opposite direction – upwards.

“Especially for the month of March, the sectors” construction “,” production “and” accounting and finance “have the highest growth, explained the manager of the online work platform Hristian Petkov.

The trend also has a geographical principle. “In Sofia the demand is the highest and the supply is the highest. Almost 50% of all online job offers are currently in the capital. The other big regional cities occupy about 21-22% “, adds Petkov.

Jobs offer all sectors. Seekers during a pandemic are mostly students. In the most attractive sectors of the future, it turns out that there is the most serious hunger for staff.

“Especially in the field of electrical engineering and electronics, information technology, mechanical engineering and metalworking, food industry, mechatronics, robotics, artificial intelligence,” explains Rositsa Stelianova from the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria.

“This is an investment – as we invest in high-performance technologies and machines – we want to be able to invest in high-quality specialists,” said manager Vladimir Spasov.
