The 45th Clásico could have been the last for Lionel Messi (33). And it ends in bankruptcy!
The superstar deservedly loses 1: 2 at Real Madrid with FC Barcelona. With the two rivals unable to meet again this season, it was the last duel until summer – and then the Messi era could end in Barcelona.
The Argentine’s contract expires in the summer. He has recently been repeatedly associated with PSG. Although Messi is currently fully integrated into the team again after the transfer quarrel last summer (he wanted to go on strike, Barça forced him to stay), an exit in the summer does not seem to be ruled out.
It would be a farewell to a Clásico bankruptcy!
Real take their third win against Barça in a row – for the first time since 1978! With the 2: 1, Madrid also conquered the championship lead in Spain at least until Sunday. And with some spectacular football!

But: In the second half, the team of superstar Messi at least struggles a bit, at the same time Madrid is getting weaker. In the meanwhile pouring rain, Barça got at least one goal from a curious shin shot from Mingueza (60th). But it’s not enough for more, although Casemiro still sees yellow-red (90th).
With the Clásico win, the table thriller in the Primera Division is only really picking up speed eight game days before the end of the season. Real (66 points, twelve competitive games unbeaten) are one point ahead of Barça (65). On Sunday, Atlético (66) can take the lead again at Betis Sevilla and move away on three points.
