The two young people on board the destroyed Tesla would not be in danger of life after crashing into the wall inside the Monte Englo tunnel, in Riva del Garda, on the afternoon of Saturday 10 April. The call to Nue (single number for emergencies) 112 arrived a few minutes before 5pm.
On the car, a Tesla Model 3 Long Range, were the owner, MD 22 from Pinzolo and a woman, SC, 23 from Torbole, who was behind the wheel at the time of the crash. The causes that led to the 23-year-old’s loss of control of the vehicle, which ended up against the wall in the opposite lane, are still being investigated.
Both young people were conscious, the agents of the Local Police of Alto Garda and Ledro arrived on the spot for the reliefs, the firefighters and the medical personnel with the ambulance. The tunnel remained closed for about an hour, the external road network was managed by the local police and the carabinieri.
