began their long journey on Friday when they boarded boxes specially designed for the occasion: an 11-hour flight that took them to the American city of Dallas.
Now they have the road to the sanctuary in Colorado, the Ecopark reported on its social networks on Saturday, an estimated 9-hour journey.
The animals have as their final destination the Wild Animal Sanctuary, a 720-hectare place where the cats will have much more space to live, away from the noise of the Argentine capital. There they will coexist with other species, including spectacled bears and brown bears, also previously successfully transferred by the Ecopark.
The institution reported that since 2018, when the transformation of the Ecopark “the old Buenos Aires Zoo” began, it has carried out 890 transfers, which seek to improve the quality of life of both the animals transferred and those that still reside in Buenos Aires, which can have more space.
