Storm alerts extend to the province of Badajoz – Mérida

The entire province of Cáceres and Las Vegas del Guadiana, in Badajoz, will remain at yellow risk this Saturday due to heavy rains, which can exceed 15 liters per square meter in an hour, and due to storms.

The warnings will be in effect from 12.00 and will remain active until 00.00 hours, as advanced by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). Likewise, the rains and storms will have this Saturday with a risk warning (yellow) to eight provinces of Castilla-La Mancha, Aragon and Galicia, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) that expects unstable weather to predominate, with wide rains and storms in large areas of the country, especially in the northwest half of the peninsula.

Specifically, the rain warning (yellow), which will exceed 15 liters per square meter in one hour in Cáceres and will even accumulate 40 liters per square meter in 12 hours in Asturias. But the storms motivate more risk warnings from the Aemet, which highlights that in areas with warning they may be strong and accompanied by hail.

Teruel, Guadalajara, Cuenca, Ciudad Real, Toledo, Albacete, Toledo and Cáceres will have a yellow warning due to storms.

In general, during the day a band of cloudiness and rainfall will be located in the Mediterranean area and these could be accompanied by mud and an occasional storm, it will begin affecting Melilla and the southeast of the peninsula and after they will displace the Balearic Islands, although at the end of the day they will tend to forward.
