On Saturday afternoon, several people gathered outside the Storting to demonstrate, among other things, against corona measures.
Among the messages one could see on t-shirts and posters were “The greatest of all is freedom of speech”, “No one has the right to obey”, “Hug a friend” and “Media = fake”.

Those who appealed during the demonstration stated, among other things, that the pandemic is a bluff, that the Norwegian people have been brainwashed and that the use of bandages is a violation of human rights.
Eventually, several protesters started burning face masks in fire pans.
During the celebration, a minute’s silence was also observed corona denier Hans Gaarder (60), who died with corona on Tuesday .

– Should not have any vaccine
TV 2 asked a number of demonstrators if they wanted to speak on camera about why they were participating in the demonstration, but the reluctance to be interviewed was great.
– We do not talk to people with masks, was among the answers TV 2’s broadcast reporter received, who was one of the few present who used face masks.
Among the few who wanted to speak was a father and daughter who had turned up outside the Storting.
– It is important that as many as possible attend demonstrations like this, because what is happening in our society is absurd, says the father.
– In what way?
– They shut down and destroy society. People get in big trouble because of something I don’t think is going well. It is corona hysteria, says the father, and is particularly critical of the government and the media.
– What do you think when you hear that the death toll is rising and see pictures of full hospitals on TV?
– I think people should stop watching TV and rather think for themselves. I have the impression that all figures are due to the corona almost except for traffic accidents.

He believes that the coronavirus exists, but believes the measures society is living under are not in style. He is also critical of the vaccination program.
– Should you have vaccine on vaccine on vaccine – it breaks people’s immune system. I believe in my immune system and should not have any vaccine. I do not understand what I mean by that, he says.
He says that he is not afraid of being infected, but that he is rather afraid of “slavery”.
– You see what is happening in society. People lose their jobs, and then you get companies like Amazon where people have to work for slave wages. That is what I think will happen if this is allowed to continue, says the father, and receives support from the daughter.
– There are many young people who are struggling now. We see how things have gone with regard to mental health , and there will certainly be a huge queue of psychologists. You constantly hear about the isolation of schoolchildren and young people who go into depression, says the daughter.

– Covid-19 is a serious disease
On Saturday, State Secretary Saliba Andreas Korkunc (H) in the Ministry of Health and Care Services was asked what challenges such demonstrations create for the work of fighting the virus.
– In Norway, we have both freedom of expression and freedom of demonstration, so that everyone who disagrees with measures is of course in their full right to express their disagreement, says Korkunc.
He also emphasizes the importance of cooperating with infection tracers if you yourself are infected or you are contacted.
– Covid-19 is a very serious disease, and if you cooperate with the authorities and the health service, you will be able to find people who are infected before they become seriously ill.

Recently, it has emerged that several people are lying to the spores of infection. Korkunc thinks that’s a shame.
– It is completely legitimate to use the freedom of expression to demonstrate against measures, but it is very unwise to prevent the work of the traces of infection. This work is very important, and helps prevent infection and death. I encourage everyone to cooperate with the health service, even if they disagree with the measures.
