The South Sumatra Provincial Government has issued Regional Regulation (Perda) number 1 of 2021. One of the articles in the regulation emphasizes that citizens who refuse to be vaccinated against the corona can be threatened with a fine of Rp. 1 million.
The Head of Satpol PP of the South Sumatra Provincial Government, Aris Saputra, said that the regulation regulates increasing discipline and law enforcement in the prevention and control of infectious disease outbreaks. he said.
The criminal sanctions in this Perda are regulated in CHAPTER XII articles 64 to 67 in which sanctions in the form of fines can be given to individuals and business owners who are found to have violated health protocols.
