The fourth master class, live, on the YouTube channel, will be given by the tenor of the RTVE Symphony Orchestra César Arrieta this Friday, April 9, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., from the Monumental Theater of Madrid. It is titled ‘The lied, the exaltation of loving’. The accompanying pianist will be Graham Jackson.
The evolution of the Liederkreis will be addressed through Beethoven, Schumann and Mahler.
César Arrieta will focus the masterclass on the works:
1. Beethoven. To the Distant Beloved. Op. 98: el origen
2. Schumann. Poetry love. Op. 48: el esplendor.
3. Mahler. Rückert songs: La renovación.
