Taking into account Modernist Cuisine’s advice, Weisz also found that keeping the chicken at around 55-60 degrees Celsius, for at least an hour, would be sufficient to cook it. Or at least, this temperature can kill the bacteria in the chicken.

After several failed attempts — mostly due to mechanical problems — Weisz finally got it jackpot. In a final experiment that required a minimum of 135,000 slaps for eight hours he managed to cook the chicken. This cooking method uses about 7,500 Watt-Hur energy, two or three times more than your oven needs for the same job, according to Weisz.
Weisz even had time to cook steak with the same method. This way of cooking that Weisz demonstrates reminds us of another question of cooking and physics: can you cook something by dropping it from outer space? This question refers to the principle that something that falls from outer space to earth will rub against the earth’s atmosphere so that it will produce heat energy as well.
Instead of answering that last question with a direct experiment from outer space, we should first answer this question: Why bother using a cooking method that is much more troublesome if we already know a much simpler cooking method?
