The National Emergency System (Sinae) reported this Wednesday that 3,935 new cases of coronavirus were diagnosed (all of today) and 13,395 analyzes were carried out.
All the departments presented new diagnoses: 1,953 are from Montevideo, 560 from Canelones, 185 from Rivera, 108 from Cerro Largo, 183 from San José, 140 from Maldonado, 101 from Paysandú, 98 from Tacuarembó, 81 from Florida, 80 from Soriano, 77 from Salto, 69 from Colonia, 62 from Artigas, 59 from Treinta y Tres, 51 from Río Negro, 36 from Durazno, 34 from Rocha, 30 from Lavalleja and 28 from Flores.
Since the declaration of the health emergency, on March 13, 2020, 126,987 positive cases of covid-19 have been registered, of which 98,837 have been recovered.
This Wednesday, 40 deaths with a diagnosis of covid-19 were confirmed, of which 18 were from patients from Montevideo, seven from Canelones, five from Soriano, two from Río Negro and San José, and one from Artigas, Colonia, Maldonado, Rocha , Rivera and Tacuarembó. They were between 45 and 93 years old. So far, 1,231 people have died with the disease in Uruguay.

Of the people who have the virus, 436 are being treated at CTI, four more than on Tuesday. The Uruguayan Society of Intensive Medicine reported that 76% of ICU beds are occupied, including 48% of coronavirus patients. This last percentage has been increasing since February 25.
