The clash between FUI members and a number of residents took place on Friday (2/4). The commotion that was recorded on the camera finally stopped after other residents tried to intervene. The chairman of FUI of North Sumatra, Indra Suheri, denied that his party had dismissed the braided horse show for reasons of shirk.

The North Sumatra FUI claimed that it was dissolving the jaran braid show persuasively. The North Sumatra FUI said the residents and braided horse players did not agree to be disbanded, resulting in a commotion. FUI claims that its members were beaten by residents during the incident.
“The FUI Laskar chatted, the residents did not accept it, our laskar was beaten. Then we make a report to the police, now it has been processed,” he explained.

1. Policy Research
The police said the commotion started when FUI members were about to break up the show. After the commotion, both parties reported to the police.
“From the chronology, some of our residents do not know what to do or how to make a braid line. Well, then maybe some FUI people disband, it gets noisy,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Sunggal Police, AKP Budiman Simanjuntak, Wednesday (7/4/2021).
Police are unaware of the dissolution process carried out by FUI members. Budiman said the fight started from the dissolution of the kuda kepang show.
“We do not know how to disband it, impolite or what. At first there was a fuss, so we beat,” he said.
As a result of the incident, the two camps involved in the clash made a report to the police. So far, 15 witnesses have been examined in connection with the case.
“There is still an investigation. The two parties are reporting to each other, from these two parties there may already be 15 people who have been checked,” he explained.
2. Head of Emotional District
Head of Medan Sunggal Indra Mulia Nasution admitted that it was the Kepling that brought members of the FUI of North Sumatra to disperse the braided horse show which ended in a fight. The Kepling has already been sanctioned.
“Yes (the committee brought FUI members). His actions are outside of ethics as the head of the environment,” said Indra when contacted, Thursday (8/4/2021).
Indra said the Kepling brought FUI members to disperse the crowd that occurred during the braided horse show. This was done to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“Because there is COVID, there shouldn’t be a crowd,” he said.
