TUNIS, April 7 (Xinhua) – Libyan Foreign Minister Najla al-Mangoush arrived in Tunisia on Wednesday for a previously unannounced visit, according to a source at the Tunisian Foreign Ministry under the guise of anonymity.
The same source clarified that this was the Libyan minister’s first trip since her arrival at the head of diplomacy in the government of national unity led by Abdul Hamid Dbeibah.
Consultations are planned between the Libyan minister and her Tunisian counterpart Othman Jerandi on bilateral relations.
According to the same source, the Libyan minister will also meet Tunisian President Kaïs Saïed to discuss bilateral cooperation in various fields and a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
It should be noted that this visit comes about twenty days after the visit of the Tunisian president to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, on March 17, the first official visit by a Tunisian head of state to Libya since 2012.
