Walter Olkewicz from the Twin Peaks series died

The death of the American actor was confirmed by his son, screenwriter Zak Olkewicz, according to whom the father had been struggling with health problems for twenty years.

In the first series of The Twin Peaks, Olkewicz played French-speaking Canadian Jacques. He was arrested and shot, and was eventually strangled at the hospital by the father of the murdered Laura Palmer. However, this did not end his engagement, he also starred in the film Twin Peaks, and in 2017 he returned in the renewed Twin Peaks series.

Walter Olkewicz was primarily a television actor. Although he didn’t have many main roles, he went through a huge number of series from the seventies to the present.
Randomly it was Taxi, Cheers, Moonlight, Matlock, Law in Los Angeles, Married with Commitments, Grace in One Round, The Case for Sam, Everwood or Emergency.
He has occasionally appeared in Hollywood films such as Dangerous Client, Raven or Milo.
