The company “Deltepool” interviewed 1590 adult British to find out which personality they would like to see as the heir to Elizabeth II’s throne. The poll concluded that it would be better to wish the British king the title of Prince William rather than Charles, reports “Mirror”.
47% of respondents want to see Duke William of Cambridge as the next king, but only 27% of respondents support Charles’ reign. In turn, the younger British even mention Prince Harry as the next king.
Mirror points out that Prince William’s popularity with his father’s royal house could be a nasty surprise, as Buckingham Palace’s public image workers have been working to improve Prince Charles’ reputation for decades – he must follow the throne after Elizabeth II will cease to perform his duties or will go into eternity. The Queen will celebrate her 95th anniversary on April 21 this year.
The survey also found that 41% of Britons want Elizabeth to remain on the throne until her death, while 21% believe she should stop performing her duties while she is healthy.
Also, 51% of respondents admit that Prince Harry and his wife Megan have caused significant damage to the reputation of the British royal family, according to a survey conducted between March 31 and April 1.
