E3 2021 confirms companies that will attend … and those that will not
Via GameIndustry We have learned which companies have confirmed their presence at E3 2021 for the time being, with big names ensuring a powerful fair.
And it is that nothing less than Xbox, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Konami, Capcom, Warner Bros. Koch Media o Take-2 they will virtually attend the event and present their main novelties within this framework.
The absence from other giants like Sony with its Playstation, SEGA, Electronic Arts, Activision Blizzard, Square Enix o Bandai Namco. Without a doubt, very sensitive falls, but we do not know if they will take advantage of those days to organize their own events or if they will go to the Summer Game Fest, the main competitor in June.
There is still time and it is possible that some of these companies decide to finally join E3 2021, and the organization has ensured that it will try to make all the content presented by the companies available to everyone for free.
This is how the CEO of ESA expressed himself, Stanley Pierre-Louis:
For more than two decades, E3 has been the premier venue to showcase the best that the video game industry has to offer, while bringing the world together through gaming.
We’re turning E3 this year into a more inclusive event, but we’ll still look to excite fans with important reveals and insider opportunities that make this event the indispensable center stage for video games.
Some statements that want to deactivate the rumor of possible paid subscriptions to be able to see / test the news of E3 and access exclusive content, something that has already been denied by the organization itself.
In the presence of Nintendo and Xbox, Sony wanted to stay out of E3 for another year, something they have been doing since their last appearance in 2018. It would not be surprising if they organized a side event around that time to present their news and show highly anticipated PS5 titles like Horizon: Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7 o God of War: Ragnarok.
