We’ve always known that Reese Witherspoon’s 21-year-old daughter, Ava Elizabeth Phillippe, was her mini-me, but now we’re starting to think that the actress’ genes are very strong in her family. The Little Fires Everywhere star recently posted an Instagram selfie with her son, Deacon Reese Phillippe, 17, and they look exactly alike.
In this stunning sunset photo, Deacon towers over his mother and the two of them smirk at the camera. There is no doubt that they are mother and son. It’s amazing how much he looks like Reese, with the shape of his nose, the color of his eyes, and even a similar hairline. We always thought he was the lookalike of his father Ryan Phillippe, but this photo proves otherwise.
Reese also wrote a sweet caption for her middle child: “Not enough words to say how much I love this guy ???? The way he looks at the world inspires me everyday @deaconphillippe. The aspiring musician could also follow in his family’s footsteps, as he has yet to rule out an acting career – although he is hesitant.
“It’s definitely something that interests me,” he told Interview Magazine. “Since I was little, I remember the presence of the paparazzi. I don’t really know what it’s like not to be seen by the public. “
The public side of fame isn’t easy, but he’s done pretty well so far – thanks to his mom and dad, who raised him well. Reese probably wouldn’t mind moving into the family business, especially if she needs a lookalike on an upcoming project. We think Deacon fits the bill perfectly.
