Live: Crisis team informs about the corona situation in the country | NDR.de – news

As of: 04/05/2021 5:03 p.m.

The crisis team of the state government of Lower Saxony informed again on Tuesday about the current situation in the corona pandemic. NDR.de will broadcast live from 1 p.m.

In addition to the current infection situation and the curfews in several counties and cities, the general vaccination progress and the start of corona vaccinations in general practitioners’ practices in Lower Saxony are also likely to be the topic of the press conference. Either the head of the crisis team, Heiger Scholz, or his deputy Claudia Schröder will provide information and answer questions.

Model tests begin: openings in 14 municipalities

Model projects to open shops and outdoor restaurants are starting in 14 municipalities in Lower Saxony. The state announced the selected municipalities on Saturday. In the participating counties and cities, the seven-day incidence is below 100. Meanwhile, the national incidence continues to exceed the 100 mark.

Compulsory tests in schools

Last week, the state government had, among other things, commented on how the corona tests will continue in schools after the Easter holidays. Education Minister Grant Hendrik Tonne (SPD) had stated that the tests are mandatory for both school staff and students. If face-to-face teaching is possible, tests should be carried out twice a week.
