Expert sees “extreme temperatures” in the Freiburg region – Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district

While it has long been green and blooming in the valley, there are still remnants of snow in the Black Forest – the last traces of winter. It felt like it was blessed with plenty of snow, rainfall and sunshine.

But is this impression also true? Carola Grundmann from the German Weather Service in Freiburg explains how winter 2020/21 really was in the region.
