At FC Barcelona they knew for sure that a transfer from Erling Haaland (20) would not be cheap.
But even the experienced Barca bosses hadn’t expected these “additional costs”.
The Catalan radio station RAC 2 reports that Haaland consultant Mino Raiola (53) and his father Alf-Inge (48) are each demanding a fee of EUR 20 million.
Crazy!
Then there is another 30 million euros annual salary for the striker. The current third in the Spanish league could finance that with a transfer from club icon Lionel Messi (33). Think!
Another condition from Raiola and father Haaland is that Messi not be sold. No wonder the Barca bosses were said to have been shocked by these demands. Especially when you consider that Barca boss Joan Laporta (58) and Raiola are friends. But as is well known, friendship ends with money.
These conditions actually seem impossible for the heavily indebted Catalans.
Is that not true at all?
Raiola already responded to the reporting on Twitter. He posted a corresponding “Marca” article with the words: “Fake news travel fast and far!”

Before Easter, Raiola and Haaland Sr. had been spotted in Barcelona and thus caused unrest in Dortmund, which was not reduced by the 1: 2 against Frankfurt.
After meeting Barca boss Laporta, they went to Madrid, where they are said to have met with Real representatives. The consultant duo is also said to have made representations to the top clubs in England.
Haaland (contract until 2024) has a fixed transfer fee of 75 million euros in the contract, but this will not come into force until 2022. Should he leave the club in the summer, it should cost well over 100 million.
Should BVB miss the Champions League, they will have to part with players for better or worse. Currently they are seven points behind fourth place, which entitles them to participate in the premier class. The defending champion would also qualify automatically. Maybe BVB will be able to keep its top striker in this way.
