Britons get self-tests every week • The Czech Republic does not extend the state of emergency

The Czech Republic will not extend the state of emergency that is now in force due to corona. In an interview with a Czech news site Prime Minister Babis confirms that the state of emergency will end on April 11, a week.

This means, among other things, that it is allowed to travel between different regions. The curfew at night will also be lifted. The government actually wanted to extend the state of emergency until April 27, but parliament disagreed.

Last month, nearly 5,800 corona deaths were registered in the Czech Republic. That was more than in other months. The Czech Republic, with a population of 10.7 million, is one of the hardest hit countries in Europe.

The number of new infections is now decreasing. Last week, about 5,500 new cases were added every day. In February and March these numbers were sometimes three times as high.
