João Henriques is no longer a coach at Vitória de Guimarães. The 48-year-old coach was fired this Sunday after a home defeat (1-2) against Tondela, in what was the fourth consecutive defeat by the Vimaranense in the League.
The coach ended up not resisting the wave of bad results and became aware of the decision of the management of the club in a meeting that went on all night. João Henriques replaced Tiago Mendes in the initial phase of the season and leaves the team in 6th place, nine points behind Paços de Ferreira, the last team in the European places.
To replace João Henriques, Bino, coach of team B since December 2019, will advance, at least until the end of this season: his debut will take place in Portimão, next Friday, on the 26th round of the championship.
