But on many of the mountain passes the weather is very bad on Sunday. It varies from reduced visibility due to snowdrifts, slippery sections, strong gusts of wind and column driving.

The weather up on the Hardangervidda is especially bad. Highway 7 was closed on Sunday afternoon after first having column traffic for larger vehicles.

Column driving and reduced visibility
There is convoy driving on both national road 13 over Vikafjell, county road 50 Aurland-Hol and national road 15 Strynefjellet, according to Vegtrafikksentralen.
On the E16 Filefjell, visibility is reduced in places as a result of snow drifts. The same applies to county road 27 Venabygdfjellet, where there are also slippery sections in places.
There is a slight gale on national road 52 Hemsedalsfjellet, where visibility is also reduced in places.
While county road 51 over Valdresflya is closed, the driving conditions on the E6 over Dovrefjell are quite good, according to Vegtrafikksentralen.
Go home tomorrow
Like the state meteorologist, Key-Nilsen at Vegtrafikksentralen asks people to take the journey home on Monday if they have the opportunity.
– But if you have to go home today, then you should bring enough food, warm clothes, enough fuel and electricity because you can stay in line for a long time, is the clear call.
– Mountain passes can also be closed at short notice, so you risk having to take major detours. So people should plan their journey home well, she says.
State meteorologist Walløe says that Monday will offer less precipitation, and somewhat weaker winds. Admittedly, there will also be some snowdrifts on Monday, which can present problems in some places.
– In several places in Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag, there will be a lot of snow showers in fairly low terrain on Monday. So if you are going that way, you should be prepared for difficult driving conditions, he says.
