The third game of the best-of-seven series had everything that makes the ice hockey heart beat faster: Nice hits, great emotions and tough checks – even if Mario Fischer missed the target with a bad gang check against Dan Catenacci. As a consequence, the caps captain was banned from the Department of Player Safety (DOPS) for two games. The defensive giant will therefore be missing on Saturday – just like Dustin Gazley, Karl Stollery, Domenic Alberga and probably Matteo Pietroniro, who was injured during the game on Thursday.
Despite these failures, the HCB are aiming for the next victory: “We have to play physically and simply,” says Anton Bernard. “If we perform like the first game in Vienna, we can win the game. At that time we lacked the necessary luck. ”In any case, the Foxes would have put themselves in a good position with their victory on Thursday. “But nothing has been decided yet. Vienna is a team that will fight to the end, ”the captain is convinced.
