NAYPYIDAW, KOMPAS.TV – Residents used homemade weapons when confronting Myanmar’s military junta forces in a riot.
The dispute took place near Thapyayaye Village in Yinmabin, Sagaing region, Friday (2/4/2021).
The rioting broke out at 4 am, after the villagers held a defensive action against 100 soldiers of the military junta who were about to storm the village.

One resident said that the military junta troops tried to attack the village because a number of villagers and village monks led the military junta’s anti-coup demonstration.
The villagers themselves numbered in the hundreds from other villages in Yinmabin and Kani, who helped.
The residents use homemade weapons such as pistols and gas pressure guns that shoot glass or steel balls.
